Job Description
About the Role: We are seeking a qualified Driver Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy vehicles and a strong commitment to safety, drives and operates fire apparatus and performs a variety of technical tasks in fire suppression and rescues
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drives various fire apparatus to incident scene in response to fire alarms, emergency medical service calls and other emergency calls
2. Operates numerous types of rescues, salvage, emergency, and fire suppression equipment
3. Responsible for overall maintenance of all assigned apparatus to include all equipment on board and maintains proper stock of supplies on apparatus.
4. Performs +B4:B6
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Driver Operator or in a similar role.
- Holding a valid heavy driving license.
- Completion of the following IFSAC training courses:
- Hazmat Awareness (NFPA 472)
- Hazmat Operation (NFPA 472)
- Firefighter I (NFPA 1001)
- Firefighter II (NFPA 1001)
- Driver & Pump Operator (NFPA 1002)
- Ability to obtain a Heavy Vehicle Driving License in a local organization.
